I was wandering around a used book store and this title caught my eye. I'm glad it did! I finished this book in just one weekend - it was hard to put down! It has mystery, history, and espionage all in one! Maggie Hope is an MI-5 agent who goes to work under cover at Windsor Castle during WWII to protect Princess Elizabeth.
What I didn't know when I picked up the book - probably because I didn't look to closely - was that it was the 2nd book of a series! The first one is Maggie Hope's beginning called Mr. Churchill's Secretary. However, even though I didn't read the first one, I was not lost at all in this one.
The main mystery wrapped up nicely, but, another cliff hanger appeared at the end that will make you want to read the third book of the series.
It was a bit predictable in some of the story line - but maybe that is because I've read/watched too many spy things. However, I would recommend it!
